“I see innovation as a route to the creation of personalised outdoor spaces. I seek to build long term relationships with clients and contractors, based upon trust and mutual respect. I work with clients who share a similar passion for structure, texture and tone in their gardens. I have a strong interest in the use of native and natural planting, as a connection with the UK landscape”

After qualifying in engineering at university, Stephen worked in the City for over 25 years and for the last 15 years, as a partner in a major accounting firm. Notwithstanding the challenges of this environment, Stephen had always maintained a strong interest in design and particularly design set against the constantly changing backdrop of the natural environment, as found in garden design. In 2012, he decided to make the step away from the City, qualifying with a distinction in his Diploma in Garden Design from the prestigious Inchbald School of Design. Since leaving Inchbald, he has been working to fulfill his ambition to create attractive and bespoke outdoor spaces.

Whilst he has moved away from the City, Stephen continues to draw upon the skillsets developed in that environment over many years:

•    Client innovation

•    Relationship management

•    Client handling

•    Written/oral communication

•    Project management
